Assistant Fire Chief – Operations
Under direct supervision of the Deputy Fire Chief, the Assistant Chief of Operations manages the administration a fire district within the Fire and Emergency Services department.
Fire Inspector
Under the supervision of Fire Prevention, Lead, the Fire Inspector plans, organizes, and conducts fire prevention activities throughout to include fire inspections, fire investigations, public education, plan reviews, and fire protection system acceptance inspections. Assist implements, and manages the Fire Prevention Program to ensure compliance with Performance Work Statement, Army Regulation 420-1, DoDI 6055.06, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), policies, and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.
Firefighter/EMT
The purpose of this job is to perform specialized duty work functions in preparing for and responding to fire/medical emergency calls and in providing basic EMT level treatment to patients requiring emergency medical care and safely transporting them to the hospital or medical clinic. Duties and responsibilities include maintaining readiness for emergency call response; responding to fire, medical, and related emergency calls when dispatched and taking proper action; educating staff and public on fire safety/prevention; and performing Fire Department activities. Additionally, this position may involve staffing the Fire Alarm Communications Center (FACC) and receiving calls for emergency assistance, monitoring fire alarm systems and emergency reporting phones. and dispatching appropriate apparatus and personnel to emergencies. Performs other duties as assigned.
Firefighter
Under the supervision of the Fire Chief, the Firefighter responds to multiple-types of emergencies operating as a firefighter. Maintains vehicles, equipment, tools, and protective clothing in a serviceable condition. Extinguish fires and takes precautions to prevent fire rekindling. Operates pumps, foam generators, turrets, nozzles, and other firefighting tools and equipment. Exercises caution to avoid personal injury and property damage and comply with strict health and safety standards. At the site of a fire protects and preserves evidence indicating the cause of the fire. Properly wears personal protective clothing. Conducts and take part in frequent reoccurring proficiency training, OJT and maintains required certifications. Additionally, this position may involve staffing the Fire Alarm Communications Center (FACC) and receiving calls for emergency assistance, monitoring fire alarm systems and emergency reporting phones Performs other duties as assigned.
Teacher Assistant
The Teacher Assistant is responsible for implementing the school’s instructional program for Grades K through 12 under direction of the classroom teacher.
